She was taken by a machine, made by ancient human species, who left earth centuries ago. The Machine slingshot her into another corner in our galaxy.
As a scientist, she knew partly what was happening but only as her transformation into a form happened, she understood what she had lost. But also as the new Queen of the Galaxy, she realized what possibilities were open to her now.

Other rendered in 3DS Max, the original female model (head and torso) was downloaded some time ago somewhere as a free template, but I don't remember where. Accessories made by me.

Okay, this is actually really badass, and a welcome departure from the endless "And then somebody was utterly destroyed, dehumanized, and removed of any semblance of agency, happiness, or humanity" stories.
Actually, I think the level of badass and agency makes the whole thing a lot sexier.
